St. Ann's students are required to be in uniform during the school day. Uniforms for kindergarten through eighth grade may be purchased at Dennis Hoffman Garment Co. 2765 Cherry Street Kansas City MO 472-4665.

All students must be well groomed and present a neat appearance at all times.

GIRLS UNIFORMS

  1. Grades Kindergarten through grade 3 wear a Garfield plaid uniform jumper. SKORTS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
  2. Grades 4 through 8 wear a Garfield plaid skirt. The length should be no shorter than the knee.
  3. ALL GIRLS wear a plain white, light blue, red, or navy blouse/knit shirt. Blouses are to have Peter Pan or button-down collars. Knit shirts must also have collars. Shirts must be tucked in.
  4. Girls may wear white, light blue, red, or navy turtleneck under a sweater, St. Ann's sweatshirt or a blouse.
  5. Navy sweaters, cardigan or V-neck, must be worn over a blouse, knit polo shirt, or turtleneck.
  6. Socks or tights must be worn at all times. Socks or tights must be plain white, navy, red or black.
  7. Slacks are to be navy or black. No jeans or stretch pants may be worn. A belt must be worn with pants or shorts that have belt loops. Slacks should have only side and back pockets, no "cargo" pockets, etc.
  8. Navy blue or black uniform walking shorts may be worn. The length of the shorts must extend below the students fingertips when standing.
  9. Make-up is not permitted.
  10. Jewelry; including long dangling earrings, are not permitted. Small earrings may be worn.
  11. Hair must be kept in traditional style. Trendy style, shaven or partially shaven hair cuts, painted or spiked hair is not permitted.
  12. Tennis shoes are recommended. Dress shoes with soft soles are permitted. No shoes with high heals are permitted. Sandals must have a back strap.
  13. Fingernail polish is not allowed. Students wearing fingernail polish will sent to the office to remove it.
  14. Only St. Ann's sweatshirts can be worn.

BOYS' UNIFORM

  1. Slacks are to be navy or black dress pants. No jeans, sweat pants or warm-up pants are permitted. Slacks should have only side and back pockets, no "cargo" pockets, etc.
  2. . Shirts are to be plain white, light blue, red or navy blue, short or long sleeve with pointed or button- down collar. Plain, (without logo) collared knit polo shirts are acceptable. Shirts must be tucked in.
  3. Navy Blue sweaters may be worn.
  4. Turtleneck shirts white, red, light blue, or navy may be worn under sweaters or shirts.
  5. A belt must be worn with pants or shorts that have belt loops.
  6. Navy blue or black uniform walking shorts may be worn. The length of the shorts must extend below the student's fingertips when standing.
  7. No earrings are permitted.
  8. Haircuts will be traditional and above the collar in length and above the eyebrows. Acceptable hair cuts are left to the discretion of the Administration.
  9. Small religious medals and chains are the only jewelry that may be worn.
  10. Tennis shoes are recommended. Dress shoes with soft soles are permitted. Sandals must have a back strap.
  11. Socks must be worn. Socks must be white navy or black.
  12. Only St. Ann's sweatshirts can be worn.

BOYS & GIRLS UNIFORMS

Boys & Girls: St. Ann's T-shirts may be worn with uniform walking shorts only. The T-shirts sold by the PTO may be worn with uniform walking shorts or on first Fridays. Shorts may be worn from the beginning of school until the end of October when Daylight Savings time changes. In the Spring students may begin wearing shorts when Daylight Savings Time goes into effect.

The first Thursday of each month is a Student Council sponsored Jean Day. Students may wear jeans or khakis and an appropriate shirt. No bib overalls are permitted. Other Jean Days throughout the year will be announced in the Thursday Thoughts.
